Let us examine each of them and see some of the qualities we can pray over our Nannies.

Abraham’s Servant

Gen. 24:1-4 NKJV. Now Abraham was old, well advanced in age; and the Lord had blessed Abraham in all things. So Abraham said to the oldest servant of his house, who ruled over all that he had, “Please, put your hand under my thigh,  and I will make you swear by the Lord, the God of heaven and the God of the earth, that you will not take a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell; but you shall go to my country and to my family, and take a wife for my son Isaac.”

Abraham trusted his servant enough to send him to look for a wife for his son! This must have been such a faithful servant. Tested over the years. And could be entrusted with both Abraham’s property & posterity. We can also see that he was devout, for he prayed and asked God to grant him success and guidance throughout his mission in honour of his master. He continued to wait on God throughout the journey. He did not disappoint. Pray that your Nanny will be faithful, devout and reliable; always looking out for your interests.

Naaman’s Servant

2 Kings 5:1-5 NKJV. Now Naaman, commander of the army of the king of Syria, was a great and honourable man in the eyes of his master, because by him the Lord had given victory to Syria. He was also a mighty man of valour, but a leper. And the Syrians had gone out on raids, and had brought back captive a young girl from the land of Israel. She waited on Naaman’s wife. Then she said to her mistress, “If only my master were with the prophet who is in Samaria! For he would heal him of his leprosy.” And Naaman went in and told his master, saying, “Thus and thus said the girl who is from the land of Israel.” Then the king of Syria said, “Go now, and I will send a letter to the king of Israel.”

Naaman’s servant was a destiny-connector. She gave a solution to Naaman’s biggest problem. Pray that your Nanny will bring solutions to the table and will be one who God uses to get you closer to His will and your destiny.

Jacob, Laban’s Servant

Genesis 30:25-30 NKJV. And it came to pass, when Rachel had borne Joseph, that Jacob said to Laban, “Send me away, that I may go to my own place and to my country. Give me my wives and my children for whom I have served you, and let me go; for you know my service which I have done for you.” And Laban said to him, “Please stay, if I have found favour in your eyes, for I have learned by experience that the Lord has blessed me for your sake.” Then he said, “Name me your wages, and I will give it.” So Jacob said to him, “You know how I have served you and how your livestock has been with me. 30 For what you had before I came was little, and it has increased to a great amount; the Lord has blessed you since my coming. And now, when shall I also provide for my own house?”

Jacob worked for his wives for 14 years. When his time was up, Laban had greatly increased. Laban knew that God blessed him because of Jacob. Pray that the Lord’s favour will be a upon your Nanny, that she will be a channel of blessings to your family, that because of her the Lord will bless you; and vis-à-vis.
